The Royal Arch Wrexham is an exclusive Masonic Lodge in the historic town of Wrexham, Wales. The lodge has a long, distinguished history, and has been a part of the fabric of the town since 1827. It is an important part of the local community and is proud to be part of the rich heritage and culture of Wrexham. The Royal Arch is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of fraternalism and Masonic principles. It provides a place for members to meet, converse and enjoy fellowship in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The history of Royal Arch Wrexham dates back to the late 18th century. In 1781, a group of Freemasons met in Wrexham and formed the first lodge of the Royal Arch Chapter, known as ‘A Chapter of Unanimity’. This lodge was one of the oldest in Wales and is still active today.
In 1818, a new chapter was formed in Wrexham. Known as ‘The Wrexham Chapter’, it has since become an important part of Royal Arch Freemasonry in Wales. The Chapter has been extremely successful and now holds meetings on a regular basis at its headquarters in Wrexham.
In 1822, another chapter was formed in the town called ‘The Loyal Union’. This chapter is now known as ‘The Wrexham Loyal Union’ and is one of the oldest chapters in Wales. It has an impressive list of members including many prominent figures from politics, business and industry.
Royal Arch Freemasonry has been an important part of life in Wrexham for centuries and continues to be so today. The three chapters that exist continue to meet regularly and are involved in numerous activities throughout the year that benefit both members and non-members alike.
