Royal Arch Wigtownshire is a Masonic organization which is the continuation of the traditional Masonic journey that started in 1717. It is the completion of all three degrees of Craft Freemasonry, and its members are referred to as Royal Arch Masons. The Royal Arch Wigtownshire Chapter is the oldest provincial Grand Chapter in Scotland and has a long and proud history dating back to 1750. Royal Arch Wigtownshire promotes brotherhood, friendship, charity and personal development amongst its members. As an organization, it encourages its members to strive for excellence in their own lives and to give back to their local communities through various charitable works. The Royal Arch Wigtownshire is an ancient Masonic order established in Scotland in 1743. It is the oldest Craft Masonry lodge in Scotland and its members are known as “Royal Arch Masons”. The lodge is based in Wigtown, a small market town located in the historic county of Wigtownshire on the southern coast of Scotland. The lodge is one of two Royal Arch Masonic lodges in Scotland and its members meet regularly to conduct Masonic ceremonies, rituals and activities. The lodge also participates in various charitable activities and provides support to other lodges within the region. The Royal Arch Wigtownshire has a rich history and has played an important role in the development of Freemasonry in Scotland.
